Hostmaker plans global expansion as it attracts $15 million in funding

Hostmaker, a company which helps Airbnb hosts manage rentals, has announced a Series B raise of $15 million.

The round is led by Thailand-based Sansiri and Gaw Capital alongside existing investors.

Hostmaker says it plans to use the funds to expand with a particular emphasis on establishing a presence in Asia.

The startup’s services are currently available in London, Rome, Barcelona and Paris.

This latest round comes after $6.5 million in Series A funding announced earlier this year.

The startup has made a business by filling in some of the gaps around Airbnb’s offering such as housekeeping, key collection and interior design.

In a statement, the company says it is growing at a rate of 400% year-on-year.

Nakul Sharma, founder and CEO, says:

“Sansiri approached us with an exciting proposition to take our brand to Asia which was always on our roadmap. Along with Gaw Capital’s Asian roots and global footprint, it felt like the right moment to accelerate our expansion in the East.”
