Tnooz welcomes Nick Vivion, where he will oversee daily content operations, guide editorial strategy across products, and represent Tnooz worldwide.
Tnooz is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Vivion as Editor-in-Chief of Tnooz and Editorial Director of the Tnooz media and events platform. As Tnooz enters its ninth year of business, the appointment highlights the publication’s commitment to editorial excellence, as well as a focus on growth in this next phase.
“Nick is known and respected throughout the industry, was a valuable member of our team before, and is the perfect person to assume the mantle of leadership here at Tnooz,” said Phil Ferri, CEO of Tnooz. “In the coming weeks and months, we will be unveiling some exciting new programs, all of which will be driven by what our audience has told us they need. Nick will be instrumental in guiding that process from an editorial leadership perspective.”
Effective immediately, Nick takes the helm of day-to-day editorial. In his role as Editorial Director, he will guide the editorial strategy of both existing products and those in development. In addition, Nick will represent Tnooz at industry events and conferences worldwide.
“I’m thrilled to come back to Tnooz,” says Vivion. “The brand is strong, as is its reputation as a thorough and intelligent lens for the travel and hospitality industries. We will lean on this heritage as we recommit to being the source for diverse industry perspectives, valuable data-driven content, and fair coverage.”
From 2013 to 2015, Nick was a reporter and global events lead for Tnooz. During that time, he moderated Tnooz webinars, contributed to industry panels, and co-organized the global Tnooz hackathon series. Most recently, Nick was the Senior Brand Journalist at travel technology company Sabre, where he managed the company’s brand journalism and social media initiatives.
This is the most recent in a series of high-profile additions to the Tnooz team. At the end of 2016, Phil Ferri came aboard as CEO. In March, Tnooz welcomed Michele McDonald and her two decades of industry experience as a U.S.-based senior editor. Industry veteran and former PhoCusWright Travel Technology Innovator, Kerry Cannon, joined Tnooz as CMO this past April.
