Vacation rental search engine HundredRooms has brought its total funding €11 million, with its eyes set on launching in more countries.
The €4 million round was led by Seaya Ventures and featured participation from the Ad4Ventures investment wing of Italian media group Mediaset.
Previous backers Inveready, Bankinter, AtresMedia and Media Digital also returned for the Series A round.
The Spain-based company was formed in 2014 (TLabs here) and has since expanded into other European markets and Mexico.
It says the latest round will be used on product development and targeting the UK, France, Italy and German markets.
The new round comes less than 12 months on from a €4.1 million investment from Bankinter, Inveready and Media Digital.
HundredRooms claims it will have more than even million rentals listed in its search engine by the end of 2017, with content coming from the usual suspects of HouseTrip, Booking.com, HomeAway and Airbnb.
CEO and founder, José Luis Martínez, says:
“During 2016 we have focused on building the best product of the market with a superior team with more than 40 people working on technology and product roles and also in consolidating our market leader position in Spain.
“We are now well positioned to accelerate our European and LATAM expansion and to become the category leader in those countries.”
