Four-year-old Brazilian flight search engine Voopter has attracted the attention of overseas investors again, this time almost doubling its previous round.
Travel Capitalist Ventures is behind the new Series B investment of $600,000 in the Sao Paulo-based company.
This follows an earlier round of €350,000 from Global Founders Capital, a German venture firm.
Qatari TCV has previously invested in Guiddoo and FishFishMe.
Voopter says the new round will be used to fund a media campaign, a new headquarters and product development.
The company claims to have secured the leading role for flight search engines in Brazil after passing a two million users a month milestone.
CEO Pettersom Paiva says:
“Voopter was made by Brazilians for Brazilians and this was the decisive factor for achieving the leadership of this segment in our country.”
It has recently found itself with energetic and ambitious competitors from overseas in the shape of Kayak and Skyscanner.
