Hostmaker raises $6.5 million for further growth in existing cities

Hostmaker, a business that helps Airbnb hosts manage their rentals, has raised Series A funding of $6.5 million.

The round was led by Ventech as well as an existing investor, DN Capital.

The latest funding brings its total to $9.3 million since 2015 and follows $2 million the company raised in November 2015.

The company says it is experiencing 400% growth year-on-year and is now present in London, Rome, Barcelona and Paris.

In a statement, Hostmaker says the funds will go towards strengthening its existing presence as it looks to further growth from its base of 1,000 hosts in those cities.

Funds will also be diverted to further development of its pricing technology and host platform.

The company is one of several startups that have built an ecosystem of services around the home-rental market.
