Busy Rooms acquires Hotelwebservice to expand in Europe

Hotel reservation specialist Busy Rooms is strengthening its presence in Europe with the acquisition of Hotelwebservice.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed but Germany-based Hotelwebservice opens up the German-speaking market to Busy Rooms including Switzerland and Austria.
According to a statement the acquisition will bring additional products for existing customers of both companies.
Busy Rooms provides central reservation and revenue management technology to hotels and other accommodation aggregators.
It plans to keep both brand names while it considers its strategy going forward.
According to the statement, Hotelwebservice founder and CEO Thomas Lendzion is joining the Busy Rooms team.
Sascha Hausmann, founder and chief executive of the Malta-based business, says:
“Not only do we acquire additional product but more importantly an experienced team which will allow us to execute on our global expansion strategy while providing better solutions to the hospitality industry.”
