Upmarket and “unique accommodation in outdoor travel” brand GlampingHub has pulled in $2 million in a new round of funding.
Backing the company this time around is investor Alma Mundi Ventures, alongside Howzat Partners, Andalucian government in Spain and private angels from Booking.com, Trivago and Lastminute.com Group.
The latest round follows a $1 million Series A in September 2014 from Axon Partners.
The company (TLabs here) says it has now attracted some 5,000 accommodation providers in over 100 countries, all positioned on the high-end of the outdoor accommdation scale.
It claims to have achieved “three-figure growth” in each of its years of operation since early-2014.
The money will be used to expand the business further into new countries.
GlampingHub positions itself as an international resource for glamorous camping – which is loosely defined as rustic-yet-luxurious accommodation that connects guests to a comfortable out-of-doors experience.
